US Product Lead for SUSE Linux / Backline Linux Engineer, SUSE

Provo, Utah — 2016-August 2017, January 2018-

I handle collaboration requests from the front line Linux Engineers who needed assistance solving their issues. This, like my previous SUSE position, could range greatly due to the broad spectrum of the Linux OS. I develop and deliver training on my specialties; My specialties being high availability, SAP, Authentications, and kernel crash analysis. As Product Lead I also act as an intermediary between our team, Development, and management teams.

Senior Linux and Storage System Administrator, Galileo Processing

Salt Lake City, Utah — August 2017-January 2018

I managed the Linux servers (primarily OEL and CentOS) and storage allocation of the company. This involved dealing with many different technologies beyond the Linux OS itself. Some examples being: NetApp, PureStorage, EMC(XtremIO, VNC, VMAX, vPLEX), Docker, OSSEC, Puppet, GitLab, vSphere/ESXi, Splunk, Jira, Xceedium, oVirt/RHEV, UCS, Zenoss, AWS, and GCP.

greatly due to the wide scope of coverage.              

L2/Senior Web Advisor/Technical Support, Bluehost

Orem, Utah — 2014-2015

I advanced from regular Technical Support and Senior Web Advisor to Level 2 Technician. In the previous positions I assisted customers directly with technical support as it concerns their hosting accounts whether it be a shared server, vps, reseller, or dedicated server(all CentOS, mainly Apache and some Nginx, both using php and mySQL). As a Level 2 I assisted the lower positions when they were unable to resolve the issue or an escalation was involved. I used ssh primarily to access the servers, resolved issues of DNS, email configurations, server errors, locating the source of errors, and gave advice to optimize sites and improve their experience.
